01 How accurate is AI extraction next to manual entry?

Modern document intelligence hits 90 to 99 percent field-level accuracy on well-structured documents and 85 to 95 percent on complex or variable layouts. Manual entry sits around 96 to 98 percent, but at twenty to fifty times the cost and time. With the human-in-the-loop layer catching low-confidence fields before they reach the ERP, you get accuracy on par with manual work at a fraction of the price.

Pre-built models handle common formats out of the box: invoices, contracts, purchase orders. Custom neural models from Azure Document Intelligence and Google Document AI learn client-specific layouts from as few as fifty labelled samples. As formats evolve, ongoing uptraining holds accuracy steady. It is a managed capability, not a one-time build that rots the first time a vendor changes their template.

03 We tried OCR before and it did not work.

Classic template OCR hits a hard wall at 70 to 80 percent accuracy and shatters when layouts shift, because it is pattern matching on fixed positions. Modern document intelligence uses transformer models that understand semantics, so a moved field or a new vendor template no longer breaks extraction. The technology underneath has genuinely changed.

04 How long does integration with our ERP or claims system take?

For common systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Guidewire) we use pre-built connectors. For bespoke systems, REST integration usually runs two to four weeks. The processing layer itself is live and validating documents in four to six weeks; full ERP integration follows in weeks six to ten depending on system complexity.

Almost any business document: invoices, purchase orders, contracts, insurance claims, loan applications, identity documents, bank statements, medical forms and shipping manifests. The platforms support more than 200 languages and PDF, JPEG, PNG and DOCX inputs, and can extract tables, handwriting, signatures and checkboxes.

06 How does it stay compliant with GDPR and HIPAA?

Processing runs inside the client's own cloud tenant, so document data never leaves their environment. For GDPR we implement the Article 22 human-in-the-loop provisions for automated decision-making. For HIPAA we apply Safe Harbor de-identification of extracted health data. SOC 2 Type II controls cover access, encryption and audit logging.
