// COLLABORATION / COLLAB INFRASTRUCTURE

The cloud calling migration goes fine. The rooms are where it stalls.

Twenty conference rooms with endpoints that will not register to Webex, an Expressway pair nobody fully understands, and a CUBE wiring four SIP carriers with conflicting dial plans. We deliver the physical and edge layer that the calling migration depends on, under your brand.

Plan an infrastructure build
// THE PHYSICAL LAYER PROBLEM

Cloud calling is the easy part. The room and the edge are where projects break.

Partners winning Webex Calling and UCaaS migrations keep hitting the same wall at the physical layer. Video endpoint deployments fail when room design is skipped. CUBE configurations go wrong when SIP interoperability is not mapped before cutover. Expressway's role as a hybrid bridge gets more complex as Cisco moves B2B federation and MRA to cloud-native Webex. A partner without deep collaboration infrastructure engineering is exposed to failures at the physical and edge layers, even when the cloud calling migration itself runs clean. We are that engineering, behind your name.

// CAPABILITIES

What we deliver.

01

Meeting Room Deployment

The full room lifecycle: site survey, acoustic and AV assessment, Cisco Room, Desk and Board series selection, physical install, Webex registration, Control Hub provisioning and QoS validation. Twenty conference rooms that actually register and just work.

02

Room Booking Integration

Cisco Room Navigator and Webex Room Scheduler wired into the client's calendaring, so a room shows its status at the door and bookings reconcile with Exchange or Google rather than living in a spreadsheet nobody trusts.

03

RoomOS AI Features

Meeting summaries, live translation and intelligent speaker tracking, native on Room Bar Pro and Desk Pro with no extra licensing. The features switch on the moment the device registers to Webex, no per-room project required.

04

CUBE SBC

CUBE on Catalyst 8000 and ISR 4000, Microsoft-certified for Teams Direct Routing with full media bypass. Clients keep their Cisco router fleet and add Teams Phone with no new SBC hardware, running Webex and Teams trunking on the same box.

05

Expressway Lifecycle

Expressway for B2B federation and Mobile Remote Access through CUCM transitions, managed through its support lifecycle while we plan the move to cloud-native Webex MRA in parallel. The client never has a gap in remote access.

06

SIP Trunk Architecture

Multi-carrier SIP trunking with TLS and SRTP encryption, HA failover and toll-fraud protection. The carrier edge mapped and interop-tested before cutover, not discovered as a call-drop the morning after.

// FAQ

Infrastructure, answered straight.

01 Can the client's own AV team handle room deployments?

In-house AV teams handle the physical work, cabling and mounting, well. But Webex device provisioning, Control Hub policy, QoS tuning and room-booking integration need Cisco collaboration engineering most in-house teams do not have. We provide that engineering layer and let the client's AV contractor own the physical install.

02 Can Cisco CUBE be used for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing?

Yes. CUBE on Catalyst 8000 and ISR 4000 is Microsoft-certified for Teams Direct Routing with full media bypass. The client keeps the existing Cisco router fleet and adds Teams Phone with no new SBC hardware. We configure CUBE for concurrent Webex and Teams Direct Routing SIP sessions on the same box.

03 Is Expressway still worth investing in?

Cisco's direction is clear: B2B federation and MRA are being absorbed into cloud-native Webex. For clients mid-migration who still rely on Expressway for remote worker access, we keep the existing Expressway supported through the transition and plan the Webex cloud move in parallel, so there is never a gap. For greenfield, we architect straight to Webex cloud MRA.

04 Do we need to redesign the CUBE configuration for Webex Calling?

CUBE configurations built for CUCM 11.x or 12.x usually need review before they support Webex Calling hybrid trunking or Teams Direct Routing. SIP header manipulation, dial plan translations and TLS certificate chains all need validation. An undocumented CUBE in production is a call-drop risk no client can carry through a migration.

05 What AI features come with Webex Room devices?

RoomOS, the platform behind Webex Room, Desk and Board devices, ships continuous AI updates. Webex AI Assistant meeting summaries, live translation and intelligent speaker tracking run natively on Room Bar Pro and Desk Pro with no extra licensing, and they activate automatically once the devices register to Webex.

06 How do you handle video endpoint lifecycle management?

We set up and document the device lifecycle management in Control Hub: firmware baselines, RoomOS version control, device analytics for call quality and utilisation, and capacity planning, then hand the configured framework and runbook to your team. From there you offer ongoing management to your clients as your own managed collaboration infrastructure service, recurring revenue without needing Cisco collaboration engineers on staff.
